Homemade Corn Syrup Substitute

ple are making their Easter Candies right n
ow! Most of them call for Corn Syrup!
That stuff is so nasty & so bad for you! You can read about the dangers & side effects here:
~All you need~
~2 cups white sugar~3/4 cup water~1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar~1 pinch salt 1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.3. Reduce heat to a simmer and put cover for 3 minutes to get sugar crystals off the sides of the pan. ( This never happen to me, so I just skipped it & it worked out fine for me)4. Uncover and simmer, stirring often, until it reaches the soft ball stage.
Makes about 2 cups
I have used this recipe last year & it worked great when I was making my homemade marshmallows!
