Toilet Paper Wall Art

I came across this idea on moneysavingmom.com & had to do it!

I collected sme toilet paper & paper towel rolls.

Once I had enough, I started cutting mine up.

Once I had them all cut up, I assembled my flowers with hot glued.

After that I ended up spray painting mine to make it faster but...
*Warning* it takes a good 3 coats because the cardboard soaks up so much paint.

Once mine dried, I hot glued mind to a canvas. I did mine on a smaller canvas since that's all I had on hand.

There is my wall art made from toilet & paper towel rolls!! I plan on making some more but a different color!

*If you under a warning for this hurricane irrene, make sure you stay safe!* Have a safe & fun weekend!

Taking something ugly....

 and
Making something new with it!

I had this cute stain shirt of Emma's that was way too cute to throw out! I turn it into something new!

The stain was down the middle, so I cut that part out and turned it into a throw pillow!

DIY Fabric Canvas

So tonight I recovered a damage canvas I had on hand.

You will need:
A canvas
1/2 yard of White fabric
1/2 yard of printed fabric or a solid color.
Staple gun

Here's what I did..

Lay out your canvas on a table & measure out to make sure you have enough fabric.

About 1/2 yard should work. Then fold the edges over the edge & hold tight! Once you have a firm hold staple it.

Once you have done that repeat both steps with the printed fabric! The white fabric underneath it will cover any damage or stains on the canvas.

You can sorta see in this it has a cream lace pattern crisscross across it.

Rose Rosettes Tutorial

This is how I make my rose rosettes!

You will need:
Felt
Scissors
Hot glue gun; with low setting
Scraps of fabric
Hair clip or fabric pin

Start by cutting out circles out of your felt.

Then add a dab of hot glue to the center. I used it on the low setting because I kept burning myself on the hot setting!

Then take your scrap fabric & roll it with your fingers to get your center of the rose.

Then keep going around the center with glue follow by wrapping around with your scraps of fabric.

Once you have the size rosette you wanted trim off any extra felt or fabric that you don't want.

I made mine into brooches with a fabric pin attached to the back.

Just add a dab of hot glue to the back, then attach the pin to it.

Here you go! Super easy & of course super cute!

Mexican Dip

This is one of my all time favorite recipes! Always easy to throw together, whenever in a pinch!

If you are making a 9x13 just double everything! Here's what you need..

2 blocks of cream cheese
1 jar of salsa! ( I used pineapple salsa & it added so much flavor!)
1 can of refried beans
1 can black beans
Block of sharp cheddar cheese

Spread out your cream cheese evenly.

Next spread out your refried beans follow by your black beans & salsa!

After that shred your cheese & add a good layer to your dish! Also I have also added olives before & cilantro! It gives it a lot of flavor!!

Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes!

Of course here is picture of my cooking partner waiting for me to drop something!
